ABOUT The Yocheved’s Bookshelf Site

A book reviewing website that promotes the emotionally and intellectually rewarding hobby of literature and related literary pursuits, a spectrum of genres and authors will be featured here.
The Yocheved’s Bookshelf site will eventually sponsor speaking engagements by authors and a growing variety of interactive features (in the works: online discussions with me and other authors, exercises for developing writing skills and exercising literary aspirations, and more).
Because I wish to share the joy of rediscovering beloved, old books, some of my reviews are about titles published before the current year. There’s nothing like curling up with an old friend, and reliving the delight of times gone by. And how exciting it can be, to find a satisfying book you never knew existed! Sometimes an enchanting idea you once noodled around in your head will jump back into your mind, or a puzzling idea will suddenly become clarified because an older book was revisited. If it does, and I helped that process along for you, please let me know!
I believe that the best of human endeavor and the refinement of thought are to be found in better quality literature. That is the stuff that inspires others to take action benefiting the world. With this in mind, I am seeking backers for my plan to open a bookshop in the Ramat Bet Shemesh section of Israel. A full-service, multi-lingual effort, I invite serious investors to contact me for a goal-oriented discussion.


ABOUT Yocheved Golani

Readers only see a snippet of a writer’s life. The true difference between some aspiring authors and me is that I turned my creativity, curiosity and what might have been long and boring moments into directed writing efforts. Popular television and radio shows do not often show their audiences the solitude of a writer’s life. It is a profession that requires intense energy and focus.
Fortunately for me, I am blessed with a gregarious nature. I balance my writing life with the joy of friendships and an array of rewarding activities.
